5.2/10

I just spent five days at Days Inn By Wyndham Calgary South, and overall, it was a pretty decent experience. The staff were excellent and very friendly, which made my stay enjoyable. On the downside, the hotel could improve its breakfast options and I did notice some issues with cleanliness and maintenance during my stay.

Rooms
8.0
The rooms were clean and comfortable, though a bit tight for more than two people. The beds were surprisingly accommodating, especially since I usually struggle with hard mattresses.
Service
8.0
The staff members were genuinely friendly and accommodating. They were responsive to my requests, such as providing extra blankets, but there were minor issues with room maintenance that could have been addressed better.
Location
9.0
The location was perfect for the activities I had planned, being close to downtown and the C-train station. It made getting around Calgary very convenient.
Dining
6.0
While the breakfast included a decent variety, I felt it could use more options, particularly for dietary restrictions. It was average overall but not the highlight of my stay.
Facilities
7.0
The hotel offered a pool, hot tub, and fitness room, which were nice additions. However, the pool area felt a bit cold, making it less enjoyable for families.

I recently stayed at Days Inn by Wyndham Calgary South, and while there were some positives, my experience was mixed. The location was great for visiting nearby attractions, and I appreciated the friendly staff. However, the room cleanliness left much to be desired, with some maintenance issues and dated decor. Overall, it was a decent stay but could use some improvement.

Rooms

Rooms were dated and had cleanliness issues, including a musty smell and unclean items under the bed. The air conditioning was also quite loud, but I found a quiet setting that worked well for sleeping.
Service

The staff were friendly and genuinely helpful, making me feel welcome throughout my stay. One receptionist even complimented my son, which was a nice touch.
Location
8.0
The hotel is conveniently located near downtown and close to the Chinook Centre, making it easy to explore the area, though there weren't many dining options without a car.
Dining
6.0
The complimentary breakfast was rather basic and seemed limited due to current conditions. I did find the on-site restaurant's dinner options delicious, though they were only available for take-out.
Facilities
6.0
Facilities included a pool and gym, though the pool was closed during my stay. I found the overall upkeep of the amenities a bit lacking, especially in cleanliness during breakfast.

My stay at the Days Inn By Wyndham Calgary South was a mixed experience. while the room had some positives, like comfort and reasonable pricing, I still encountered significant issues. The facilities felt dated and were not well maintained, and there were moments of noise that detracted from my rest. Overall, it could use some renovations and attention to cleanliness.

5.0/10

My stay at Days Inn By Wyndham Calgary South had its ups and downs. While I appreciated the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff, my experience was marred by cleanliness issues in the room and dated amenities. The location was convenient, but overall, I expected a bit more for the price I paid.

Rooms

The room appeared clean, but I found a dirty sock under the bed and noticed threadbare towels. The carpet had a musty smell, and the mattress was lumpy with a dip in the middle. It felt like the room was in dire need of an update.
Service
6.0
The staff was generally polite and accommodating. However, there were mixed experiences at the front desk during check-in, which affected my overall impression.
Location

The location is decent as it's close to major areas like shopping centers and the zoo, but it’s on a main street that feels a bit sketchy. Plus, parking was limited since the underground parking was not available.
Dining

The breakfast was below average, with picked-over items and unwashed buffet tables. I expected more variety and freshness, which was disappointing.

7.0/10

My stay at Days Inn By Wyndham Calgary South was a mixed bag. while the pricing was excellent and the staff was friendly, there were some frustrating aspects regarding the management and facilities. The breakfast was decent, but they often ran out of hot items early. Overall, it’s a fair option if you're looking for economical lodging, but expect a few inconveniences.

Rooms
6.0
The room was clean and the beds were surprisingly comfortable, which was a relief considering my hip issues. However, there was no elevator access for the suite I booked, forcing me to use the stairs.
Service
6.0
Staff were generally friendly, greeting me whenever I walked by. However, there seemed to be a lack of organization, especially with management changes and communication.
Location
7.0
The hotel’s location was convenient for getting around the city, right next to a train station. it made commuting a breeze. That said, the surrounding area felt a little rough.
Dining
5.0
Breakfast included a standard selection—eggs, sausage, waffles, and more. but they ran out of items before the breakfast time ended and didn’t replenish them quickly. Not the best experience for hotel dining.
Facilities
5.0
The hotel had a pool and hot tub which were enjoyable, but I noticed some maintenance issues as well. Our room's sink had a drainage problem, and the pool area could use some oversight to manage the kids better.
